Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the use of the regulatory impact assessment (RIA) procedure in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. This procedure became mandatory for use in Russian regions in 2014 in order to improve the quality of regulations governing business and investment activities before they are adopted. The author identified ways to increase the efficiency of the regulatory impact assessment procedure, the main characteristics of options for using the procedure in different regions, the existing difficulties in its implementation, and presented possible ways to increase the efficiency of using ODS at the regional level.
