Abstract
The article presents main aspects of leading European trends from the first two decades of the 21st century in the field of methodology of teaching competencies aimed at the development of personal qualities related to children’s right. Knowledge of these trends is key for any teacher/educator/youth worker who organizes activities aimed at acquiring knowledge, developing skills and forming opiniuons about children's rights in both formal and non-formal education. The dynamics in the development of the methodology in this area shows a variety of approaches and techniques, consistent with the needs and interests of children in the 21st century and the society of the 21st century, which must be taken into account to achieve efficiency in the formation of a legal culture.
