Abstract

The present study is intended to evaluate Time For of grade 4 in view of learner centered instruction principles. The study proposes guidelines for course improvement. The study adopts content analysis technique of the descriptive methodology to analyze the English language course of grade 4 Time For English. The obtained results show that the course suffers a serious lack and insufficiency of teaching learning activities which encourage the learner's positive participation. There are these results that the two books: student`s and work book don`t have enough learner-centered activities that encourage the learner to be more interactive. This contrast between the two books reflects that there is no a match with who authored these books. The researcher investigated a sample unit of the current English language course allocated for grade 4 of primary stage. It was observed that both student`s and work book don`t provide enough practice as activities that can involve the learners in the content effectively
