Abstract

Bilateral, sequential implantation of an intraocular lens of special design with four-point sclero-corneal flange fixation in aphakia A.F. Teshev, A.V. Malyshev, K.P. Telegin, R.Kh. Adzhiev Adygea Republican Clinical Hospital, Maykop, Republic of Adygea, Russian Federation Maykop State Technological University, Republic of Adygea, Russian Federation Research Institute – Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after Professor S. V. Ochapovskii Krasnodar, Russian Federation City Hospital No. 40 of the Kurortnii district Sestroretsk, St. Petersburg, The article describes a clinical case with surgical treatment of bilateral aphakia in a patient who underwent cataract removal 50 years ago through a wide limbal incision. This case is interesting due to the approach to surgical treatment, namely the choice of intraocular lens, the method of fixing the intraocular lens in the absence of a capsular bag, and the results of visual acuity obtained.
