Abstract

In this article, in the context of the peculiarities of the orthographic norm connection with punctuation and language levels, the features of using capital and small letters as a corresponding aspect of the orthographic norm are compared. An attempt is made to ascertain specific characterological features inherent in the orthographic norm of the modern literary English and Russian languages by analyzing the related spelling in the literary texts of the corresponding languages by the example of abstract nouns or phrases containing abstract nouns.
