Abstract
The article analyzes the exposition and exhibition activity of the museum-reserve «Shushenskoye» from its foundation to the present time, its content is indicated and the main stages of the changes that took place in it are highlighted. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the development of the “Lenin theme” on the material of the preserved official documents about the work ofthe museum. Created as a memorial V.I. Lenin’s museum, during its existence it has turned into a historical and ethnographical museum-reserve with various forms of work. The presentation of V.I. Lenin’s life and activityby museum means as a historical figure has changed, but continues to be one of the main activities of the museum.
