Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the enantiosemy phenomenon at the lexical level of the linguistic system. The authors discuss the linguistic nature of enantio-lexemes and the factors generating intra-word antonymy. Some classification criteria for enantio-lexemes are clarified. Logic-semantic oppositions in the basis of contrasting types are identified and described. The features of enantiosemic vocabulary functioning in the language and speech are analysed. Conclusions are made that linguistic enantiosemy is manifested under heterogeneous factors’ influence at the level of the lexical subsystem.
