Abstract
The use of scientific and technical means in the framework of the disclosure and investigation of a criminal case is focused on obtaining the information necessary for its investigation. Conducting psychophysiological studies using a polygraph is one of the controversial categories in criminal proceedings in Russia. The article analyzes the legal basis for the use of a polygraph, judicial practice on the issue of attributing the conclusions of a polygraph examiner to sources of evidence, the opinions of process scientists.
