Abstract

The aim of the work is to develop a methodology for the gradual formation of foreign students’ skills (which means a skill worked out to automatism) of writing the introduction to a scientific article in classes of Russian as a foreign language (scientific style of speech). The article provides an analysis of the structural and linguistic components of the introduction to a scientific article, and also describes the stages of work on the formation of the skills of writing the introduction to a scientific article among foreign students of senior courses; a system of practical tasks is presented that allows you to form the necessary skills. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that the methodology for presenting practical material has been developed, the mastering of which allows foreign students to successfully form the skills of competently writing the introduction to a scientific article. As a result of the study, it was determined that in order to successfully develop the skills of writing an introduction to a scientific article, foreign students need to master the skills to structure a scientific text, summarize the information received from various scientific sources and analyse it.
