Abstract

With the development of cardiac surgery, more and more women with congenital heart disease undergo cardiac interventions and reach reproductive age. Therefore, the number of pregnant patients with significant cardiac pathology is increasing. This article presents a clinical case of successful surgical treatment of aortic stenosis (the Ozaki procedure) in a 31-year-old woman who subsequently became pregnant and delivered a child. Conclusion. Despite the debate among cardiac surgeons, the Ozaki procedure can be considered as a viable option for aortic valve replacement in women with the prospect of pregnancy and childbirth. However, a larger study in this population is needed. Key words: aortic valve, aortic stenosis, aortic valve neocuspidization with autologous pericardium, aortic valve replacement, Ozaki procedure, pregnancy
