Abstract

Biodegradable natural polymers are widely used in science and practice, including medicine, for example, gelatin from raw materials from cattle and pigs. However fish gelatin is more biological safety. The main positive indicators of the quality of fish gelatin correspond to gelatin from raw materials of cattle and pigs, which is widely used in the medical industry. A comparative preclinical evaluation of the properties of film compositions based on gelatin from cattle and fish gelatin by physico-chemical, mechanical characteristics, biocompatibility, hemocompatibility of materials in vitro was carried out. The obtained results show that fish gelatin materials retain the advantages of bovine gelatin materials in terms of physico-chemical characteristics, bio- and hemocompatibility. At the same time, fish gelatin compositions are characterized by greater strength, elasticity and better adhesive ability, which makes it possible to consider fish gelatin as a promising material for obtaining implantable medical devices. 10.30906/2073-8099-2022-14-2-33-39
