Abstract

The paper presents results of the study of liquid-liquid equilibrium in the systems ethanol — ethyl formate — DES and 1-propanol — 1-propyl formate — DES. DESs based on choline chloride with urea and glutaric acid were investigated. The distribution coefficients of alcohol and ester in the systems, as well as the selectivity values of the separation of the alcohol — ether systems by these DESs, were calculated using LLE data. DES based on choline chloride and urea more effectively separates the alcohol-ether systems than DES with glutaric acid. Systems with heavier alcohols and esters have higher separation selectivity.
