Abstract
The purpose of this article is a preliminary assessment of the effects associated with increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises as a result of the development of joint projects in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises in China and Russia. A methodological approach to assessment related to external and internal determinants, barriers and incentives at the macro, meso and micro levels is proposed. It is substantiated that the results of the study can be used to eliminate restrictions at the bilateral level, as well as to identify the most promising areas for the development of joint Russian-Chinese cooperation.
