Abstract

The article examines the role of methodical association in terms of developing professional activity of a rural school teacher. The problem of methodological support for teachers in order to ensure their professional de-velopment becomes especially relevant in the context of modern modernization of the domestic education sys-tem. The author describes the features of the implementation of the regional project “Promotion +” as one of the methods of work of the educational and methodological association of rural schools teachers of the repub-lic. As part of the project to develop and implement effective mechanisms of methodological support for rural teachers, a survey was conducted with the participation of 355 mathematics teachers from rural schools. The survey questions were aimed at identifying the professional needs of rural teachers. According to the results of the study, it is necessary to systematize methodological support for teachers, taking into account the specifics of the rural educational environment. The measures implemented by members of the regional educational-methodical association of mathematics teachers are described. The author notes the positive experience of the project to improve the regional system of scientific and methodological support in general.
