Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore ways to cooperate among local community organization and, above all, the role of universities ahead of the expansion of community care policies for the super-aged society. Through purposive sampling, non-face-to-face focus group interviews and additional face-to-face interviews were conducted for workers in public and private elderly care sites, and the data of the interview were analyzed through a qualitative content analysis method. The results of the study were compiled into four categories and 13 subcategories, focusing on the large subjects of ‘the integrated care policy for the community in preparation for the super-aged society is very important, and the capacity of care workers is essential for the policy to be settled properly, and the role of universities in fostering professional personnel and providing services and cooperation with community organizations are important’. Based on the results of the study, suggestions necessary for implementing the sustainable community care policy were presented.
