Abstract
Aim. To prove the efficiency of organizational model of nursing support for the activities of an interdisciplinary team (IDT) for the management of patients with diabetic foot syndrome (DFS) in outpatient medical care. Materials and methods. Modeling, questionnaire method, clinical observation and monitoring of 178 patients with DFS. Results. The developed organizational model of the complex needs nursing team has proven its effectiveness. It was based on the creation of a clearly functioning DFS on the principles of prevention of the development the purulent necrotic complications in the risk group. The complex needs nursing team is a professional structure that can be monitored and recorded, adapted to solve the problems that appears in patients in need of long term nursing care. Conclusions. Analysis of the implementation results showed that the system of nursing patronage makes it possible to bring medical care closer to patients with DFS, provides early identification of persons with risk of developing an acute purulent-necrotic process or other complications of diabetes mellitus.
