Abstract

The results of researches on the prospects of overview of the anisotropy of structural indicators of decorative stone deposits when choosing a rational direction of mining development are presented. The publications devoted to the study of the regularities of the formation of decorative stone deposits have been studied. Approaches to the study and consideration of the anisotropy of technological properties of deposits and individual sections of decorative facing stone are studied. A method for the rapid determination of the content and orientation of mineral grains based on the processing of a digital image of the surface of a decorative stone, which is obtained using a digital microscope, is developed. The regularities of spatial variability of the optimal chipping directions for labradorite and gabbro-norite deposits have been studied. An analytical dependence in the form of a fourth-degree polynomial for predicting the optimal direction of chipping for the Golovinskyi labradorite deposit was established and the absence of a connection between the optimal chipping direction and fracture orientation for the Slipchytskyi gabbro-norite deposit was proved. The basic elements for development of the optimum technique of operative planning of mining works overview of anisotropy of properties of a deposit of a decorative stone of various genesis are provided. The results of the obtained researches make it possible to develop the optimal method of planning mining operations taking into account the anisotropy of the properties of the decorative stone deposit.
