Abstract

Both all-Russian trends and regional characteristics of language protection practices cause a decision-making in the field of ensuring the rights of ethnic minorities in the Russian education sector. Various configurations of actors, their resources and incentives, which is due to the perception of their right to mother tongue and the possibilities of its protection, affect the regional variability of the language preferential policy.
