Abstract

In order to prevent technological backwardness of our country in conditions of sanctions restrictions from the USA and the European Union countries on Russia's access to world markets, technologies, financial resources, it is necessary to actively develop mechanisms to implement import substitution policy in the most dependent industries, which are critical for the domestic economy in this respect. This determines the relevance of the study presented in the article. Under the conditions of Russia's strong dependence on imports in various indus-tries formed in previous years, the lack of many modern technologies is one of the main incentives for the im-plementation of import substitution strategy in order to form technological sovereignty and industrial self-sufficiency in the country. However, it is necessary not just to copy those technologies, goods, equipment that are no longer available for use in Russia due to the current international sanctions, but to create fundamentally new, innovative objects with competitive advantages in international markets with their subsequent import to foreign markets.
