Abstract

The paper is based on a study conducted in the Central Federal District of Russia; the study is devoted to the potential of the Russian senior citizens as part of human capital assets. The social well-being in the «third age», emotional background and interactions with other generations are analyzed. The paper is focused on economic and labor activities of senior citizens. The older generation is being segmented according to basic life models. The author investigates the barriers and readiness of senior persons to start labor activity, their professional self-identification, their demands and mobility in the labor market, their willingness to run a business. The paper examines social and political activities of the generation, Internet engagement, leisure and healthy lifestyle issues as well as persona interaction.
