Abstract
The study describes the features of the transition of higher education institutions to distance learning, focuses on organizational, methodological and legal aspects. The issues related to providing access to the electronic educational environment of the university and recommendations for its content are highlighted. From the point of view of the requirements of the Federal standard of higher education and taking into account the requests of students, the issues of communication between students and teachers, monitoring and evaluating the results of students’ activities are considered. The authors pay special attention to the timely update of the university's regulatory framework and supporting documents related to the legal and methodological support of the educational process. The example of Pacific state medical university moving to a distance learning format (Federal state budgeted educational institution of higher education “PSMU” of the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation) during 2020 coronavirus pandemic is described.
