Abstract

A historical study of world Religions reveals that many people of India, Iran, and some other areas of the world follow the thoughts of Zoroaster as a messenger of God and his Religion, Zoroastrianism. There were some commonalities found between Islam and Zoroastrianism in terms of notions about life after death and other believes. This paper depicts some points of intersection as well as variances among two main world Religions about salvation and hereafter in civilizational perspective. Although, Islam has a vibrant presentation of its creeds in the texts of Quran and Hadith as compare to Avasta (Religious text of Zoroastrianism). The paper concludes that comparative study of these two religions in a specific context paves paths for researchers to find out basic beliefs and their sources. The study also recommends that an in-depth comparative study of world Religions can bring the researchers to the point where they can find out the ultimate reality in many areas of conflict/debate.
