Abstract

In the article, the comparative and contrast analysis of the verbal and visual means of creating expressiveness in a formal composition is presented. Therefore, V. F. Stepanova’s creative work, namely her early experiments in visual poetry, subjectless verses as a synthetic genre at the intersection of poetry and graphics, is studied. The synthesis of the verbal and the visual by the material of subjectless verses is considered within the framework of the formal and semantic interaction of elements. The conclusions about the applicability of the method of verbal-visual means synthesis in the composition are drawn; and the possibilities of its use to create communication are specified.
