Abstract

Аn analysis of the literature sources of the authors' works devoted to the study of the issues of osteopenia and osteoporosis in children with fractures of long bones, BMD indicators in different age groups according to densitometric studies.Osteoporosis in children and adolescents is a new area with certain unique diagnostic and clinical problems, in the solution of which orthopedists and traumatologists play a significant role, since in children the diagnosis of osteoporosis usually requires the presence of a low-energy fracture and a decrease in BMD.Key words: children, bone mineral density, low energy long bone fractures, vitamin D deficiency, densitometry, osteoporosis.
