Abstract

The article analyzes the views of representatives of Russian conservative thought about the impossibility of building state power in Russia on the base of liberal democratic ideas. The authors conclude that historically state institutions in Russia were built on completely different grounds, which absolutely did not correspond to the norms and values that underlie Western European state institutions. The authors conclude that in modern conditions, the socio-philosophical ideas of representatives of Russian conservatism may be in demand when building a renewed Russian statehood.
