Abstract

The article analyzes the results of selective screening for the presence of antibodies to the core antigen of the hepatitis B virus in donors in Khabarovsk for the period 2021–2022 in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 1166n dated October 28, 2020. Hepatitis B virus core antigen was detected in 35 donors, which accounted for 14.5% of the number of studies and 0.07% of the total number of donors for 2021–2022. Investigation of blood samples of donors for the presence of antibodies to the core antigen of the hepatitis B virus makes it possible to identify infected HBsAg-negative donors and provides additional viral safety of blood transfusions
