Abstract
The forecast of Russia's socio-economic development for 2022 and the planning period of 2023 and 2024 shows that the decline in gross domestic product in subsequent years may be significant (estimated to be up to 10-12%). This does not reduce the relevance of improving social support measures based on the principle of targeting. The article discusses changes in approaches to the provision of social support measures based on the principle of targeting.
