Abstract

The article presents the results of the pilot study as part of the approbation of the questionnaire of social anxiety in young people due to the special military operation in Ukraine. The study sample consisted of 239 respond-ents with an average age of 20.7 years. Women 57 %. The stages of testing included: assessment of the ap-parent and content validity of the questionnaire scales, isolation of the factor structure of the intended instru-ment (principal component extraction method with Kaiser normalization), reliability testing (calculations of Cronbach’s α for individual scales and the questionnaire as a whole, as well as correlation coefficients be-tween the three final scales), procedure for assessing diachronic reliability and convergent validity, as well as the allocation of indicative norms within the framework of the interpretation of the obtained results. Conducting psychometric procedures allowed to state the suitability of the questionnaire for research purposes. Its final structure includes three scales – general, content and social anxiety. The prospects of the study in the context of increasing the sample and validating the questionnaire on other age groups are defined.
