Abstract

Influence of a surface-active substance (sodium dodecyl sulfate) and a synthetic detergent (“Aist-Universal”) on aquatic plants has been studied. Quantitative data on SAS phyto-toxicity for aquatic macrophytes (Elodea canadensis Michx., Potamogeton crispus L., Najas guadelupensis L., Fontinalis antipyretica Salvinia natans L., S. auriculata Aubl., etc.) have been obtained. Experimental vindication of the new method of recurrent admixtures effectiveness and its application for studying the stability range in species of supreme water vegetation has been carried out. Academic value of these new facts is caused by revealing of SAS phyto-toxicity for aquatic macrophyte species that have not been previously studied and by contributing into development of an ecological technique of contaminated water environment purification with the use of phytoremediation.
