Abstract
22-26 September 2008 in Belarus was held the International scientific conference «Monitoring and assessment of the status of plant world», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the National Academy Sciences of Belarus. An important focus of this conference was the generalization of the results of the monitoring of the plant world, to discuss the prospects, opportunities and challenges for its development and effective use in practice of nature management and environmental protection.
