Abstract

The problem of preserving, improving, and ra‑ tional use of the gene pool of domestic breeds of farm animals, including sheep, is always relevant. To date, the priority in solving the problems of intensification of the sheep and goat breeding industry is the introduction of modern methods of genetic diagnostics - the identification and identification of marker genes of economically valuable traits. This article presents the results of studies of the relationship of productivity traits in the population of sheep breeds мanych merino with the alel state of the genes of growth hormone (GH), differential growth factor (GDF9).
