Abstract
The main results of the scientific work of the staff of the Department of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases of the Orenburg State Medical University during the COVID-19 pandemic are presented, namely: the diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection, clinical features in children and adults (including those with combined pathology – HIV- infection, pulmonary tuberculosis), the epidemiological situation in the Orenburg region in the first months of the pandemic. Considerable material has been presented on the study of the features of the formation of immunity in COVID-19. Based on the literature data, an assessment was made of the prospects for vaccination against COVID-19. Valuable scientific material has been accumulated, reflected in more than 30 scientific publications, which is of significant practical importance in the diagnosis, treatment and management of patients with COVID-19.
