Abstract
The article deals with various activities of the outstanding surgeon, professor V. F. Voyno-Yasenetsky on consulting and treating wounded soldiers and officers in the evacuation hospitals of Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk region. The emphasis is placed on the professor’s work on saving seriously injured patients. It is noted for the first time that V. F. Voyno-Yasenetsky took the key part in the work of the flight medical board and the medical expert board at local evacuation center department № 49. The author also gives the total number of the evacuation hospitals that were deployed in Krasnoyarsk region, and this allows seeing the real scale of V. F. Voyno-Yasenetsky’s selfless activity far behind the lines.
