Abstract

Questions of lighting in the social and political magazine "Sibirskiye Ogni" of relationship “the power – opposition-social movements” in Russia of the imperial period are considered. In the analysis of publications of the magazine such aspects of a problem as are marked out: assessment of the government, machinery of government, ruling elite; their actions against opposition; general characteristic of the reasons of emergence of the opposition movements; their social base; assessment of certain representatives and movements in general; territorial framework of distribution; influence on mentalities of the population; reasons of defeats of opposition. It is shown that the magazine paid considerable attention to a historical perspective, including the studied problem. The power is presented through activity of officials, local management personnel, law enforcement agencies and security agencies generally critically, but without categorical negative estimates. The opposition of the power is lit differentially, depending on a social status of participants and their role in resistance to authorities. The role and the place of social movements in Russia of the imperial period according to the magazine is studied. It is proved that many historical plots mentioned by authors of publications are relevant also in a modern historiography. The author drew a conclusion that many estimates of the studied perspective of this period significantly differ from some estimated approaches of the Soviet and liberal historiography. Situation is proved that the impartial analysis of a historical perspective of the Siberian journal periodical press of the 1920th will promote subject studying the main directions and trends of modern development of domestic and foreign historical science.
