Abstract

The article traces the development of monumental-decorative painting from primitive petroglyphic drawings to modern 3D-artworks, which are considered as a new artistic visual language. The authors justify the thesis that information and computer technologies have provided new means of artistic expression in monumental-decorative art due to electronic tools, which allow solving contemporary artistic tasks of organizing urban space.
