Abstract

The article describes the main results of studying the specifics of the image of state power among the students of St. Petersburg and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, as well as their relationship with indicators of civic identity. Youth is one of the most important strategic resources of any society and at any time. Our study examines the attitude of young people to politics, since youth is a socio-age group that largely determines the future of the state, its prospects and the socio-political stability of society. The study was carried out in order to analyze the influence of political processes of modern society on the image of power among students. One of the significant indicators of the image of power among students is civic identity, which is defined as an individual sense of belonging to the community of the state. For multinational people, the lack of a civic identity is extremely dangerous, as it becomes one of the main factors of instability.
