تطبيق منهجية الستة سيجما في أقسام المكتبات وعلم المعلومات في جامعات المملكة العربية السعودية: دراسة تحليلية

Abstract

ملخص هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد مدى تطبيق مبادئ منهجية الستة سيجما في أقسام المكتبات وعلم المعلومات من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، ومعرفة أهم متطلبات تطبيق الستة سيجما، كذلك التعرف المعوقات في حالة تطبيق الستة سيجما، قد تم استخدام المنهج المسحي الوصفي، واعتماد أداة القياس الرئيسة الاستبانة، مع اختيار عينة الدراسة المكونة من 165 عضو هيئة تدريس بأقسام المكتبات وعلم المعلومات في جامعات المملكة العربية السعودية. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن هناك موافقة بدرجة كبيرة من قبل أعضاء هيئة التدريس على محور "تطبيق مبادئ منهجية الستة سيجما في أقسام المكتبات" بنسبة 69.8% من عينة الدراسة وهناك موافقة بدرجة كبيرة على محور "متطلبات تطبيق الستة سيجما" حسب الوزن النسبي 70.8%، وهناك موافقة بدرجة كبيرة على محور "معوقات تطبيق الستة سيجما في أقسام المكتبات والمعلومات" حسب الوزن النسبي 68.6%، وأوصت الدراسة التأكيد على أهمية تطبيق منهجية الستة سيجما بأقسام المكتبات وعلم المعلومات، والتأكيد على الاعتماد على الأدوات الإحصائية والحقائق والبيانات الدقيقة التي تُسهم في تحليل منظم للمشاكل، والعمل على التطوير المهني لجميع الهيئة التعليمية لتحسين جودة الأداء. The study aimed to explore the extent of applying the Six Sigma methodology in the departments of libraries and information science from the point of view of the faculty members, and to know the most important requirements for implementing the Six Sigma and identifying the obstacles to applying it. This study utilized the descriptive survey method and the sample consisted of 165 faculty members from the departments of library and information science across several universities in Saudi Arabia. The study found that: there was a large approval from the faculty members surveyed on the “Implementation of Six Sigma principles in the library departments” axis according to the relative weight of 69.8%, and %70.8 agreed on the axis of “Six Sigma application requirements”, and %68.6 agreed on the axis of “obstacles to applying Six Sigma”. The study recommendations emphasized the importance of: applying the Six Sigma methodology to the departments of libraries and information science; the reliance on statistical tools facts and accurate data that contribute to an organized analysis of problems; providing professional development training to all educational staff to improve performance.
