Abstract

The article justifies the necessity to edit the content of the course “Russian Language for Business Communication” concerning the revised conceptions of the purpose of foreign language teaching, which nowadays is considered not as acquisition of a foreign linguistic system but as development of foreign language communicative skills. Such an approach presupposes emphasizing a pragmatic component in the business Russian course content for businessmen; it is conditioned by the necessity to teach flexible verbal behaviour, which is a basis of successful communication. From this viewpoint, the author examines the basic components of the business Russian course content - knowledge, skills being developed and speech material.
