Abstract
The aim of the study is to determine the interconnection of eating disorders with gender and body mass index (hereinafter BMI). The method of prenosological diagnostics of maladaptive eating behavior was used for the work, Scales 1, 2 and 3 were analyzed. The data obtained were processed manually, then analyzed using Excel. As a result, it was revealed that 43 (33.8%) students have positive results on one or more scales. Analyzing the data obtained, the relationship between gender, BMI and the development of eating disorders was not found. Also, students of the Belarusian State Medical University have a predisposition to the development of eating disorders.
