Abstract

The aim of the study is to reveal the implementation of functional cooperative and non-cooperative strategies in a female author’s narrative by the examples from the texts of German and Russian literary works. The scientific novelty lies in defining the notion “female narrative” and considering the functional strategies of a female author’s narrative within the framework of literary works. As a result, it is proven that the functional strategies of a female author’s narrative are most clearly seen in the process of communication. A narrator’s gender, depending on the language, is expressed in a narrative through grammatical, lexical means, and through a reader’s background knowledge.
