Abstract

The concentration of Se in 147 environmental objects, local and imported foodstuff s of the KhantyMansiysk Autonomous Okrug, as well as the AES-ICP and MS-ICP methods in the hair of 515 of its inhabitants was determined by microfl uorimetric method: 319 non-indigenous (207 adults and 112 children) and 196 Khanty (96 adults and 100 children). A moderate defi ciency of selenium in the food chains of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug and a signifi cantly better supply of selenium to the Khanty compared to the non-indigenous population were established.
