Abstract

It is determined that the problem of patriotic education of soldiers of the armed forces of Ukraine is determined by a number of circumstances - the socio-political situation that has developed in our country today, changes in social, political, economic life, revaluation of values in the minds of people, reforming the Armed Forces of Ukraine in accordance with modern world standards . It is proved that the realization of the task of higher military education in Ukraine today is the formation of the future officer - the commander of the military unit, as a patriot and a military professional, due to the need to fight the Ukrainian people for their own honor, dignity, inviolability of the borders of the Ukrainian state. The readiness of graduates of higher military educational institutions to fulfill their professional socially important duties, the defender of the Ukrainian state, prompts not only the high professionalism of the officer, but also the patriotism that was laid in the cadet during the training. Patriotism can not in itself be formed on any particular educational subject, it can only be formed in the system of professional military training. The basis of patriotic education should be the historical and cultural values, traditions and customs of the people, whose values grow in the conditions of European integration of Ukraine. In this regard, patriotic education is an important public task. The main trend of patriotic upbringing is the formation of a value relation of the individual to his homeland, the state, the people, and the nation. The system of spiritual and moral education should be based on the values of the spiritual culture of the Ukrainian people. The positive phenomenon of modern education is that in the new system of values, which is formed in the younger generation, the ideas of Christianity are dominated.
