Abstract
The article is devoted to studying the formation and structure of the archival fund of Y. V. Butorova, a participant of the First World War. The author describes the fund’s history, considers the stages of its formation, analyses the typology of documents. Relying on archeographic methods the researcher proposes headlines for the fund documents, characterizes the peculiarities of their arrangement. Special attention is paid to Y. V. Butorova’s diaries, their origin and value as a historical source. The paper identifies the basic trends of studying Y. V. Butorova’s fund documents in domestic scientific and popular scientific literature.
