Abstract
This study focuses on the study of factors that affect the economic development of the region in modern conditions. In particular, this paper examines the issues of uneven development of the region's economy and the impact on this procedure of the process of import substitution of agricultural products.
 At the present stage of the development of the Russian economy, it has become possible to implement deferred projects, since small and medium-sized enterprises have significantly reduced the number of competitors from foreign enterprises.
 The article is devoted to the problem of uneven development of the region's economy. In this paper, the following indicators were analyzed: the dynamics of agricultural production in the Novosibirsk Region; Analysis of the unreached results of the Novosibirsk Region when using subsidies; Classification of rural areas of the Novosibirsk region by the level of socio-economic development. The analysis showed that in the economic development of the region, it is necessary to take into account the special specifics of its improvement – unevenness.
