Abstract

The first Congress of Young Scientists was held on December 8–10, 2021, in Sochi, and bringing together talented young researchers, representatives of business and the Government of the Russian Federation. The event had several objectives: to demonstrate the achievements of Russian science over the past 20 years; outline the prospects for further scientific development; provide a platform for dialogue and interaction between young scientists and officials. Despite numerous efforts aimed at the implementation of the latter task, a constructive dialogue did not take place. However, the topics discussed at the Congress of Young Scientists make it possible to consider the main current directions in the formation of Russian scientific policy towards young researchers.
