Abstract

The article describes a clinical case of delayed diagnosis of bilateral advanced destructive pulmonary TB with extensive drug resistance (XDR) in an adolescent. Effective and safe prolonged use of bedaquiline (Bq) in the complex treatment was demonstrated. A multidisciplinary approach to treatment with two-stage surgery and consultation from a pediatric cardiologist allowed completing the main course of TB treatment and achieving successful treatment outcome.
