Abstract

The volume radon activity (VRA) was measured under the same geological and petrophysical conditions, with different radon delivery methods to the detector. It is shown that the measured value of VRA in the advective method of radon delivery to the detector is almost 3 times greater than in the diffusion method. The calculated coefficients of variation in the advective mode are 2 times less than in the diffusion method. The results obtained at the experimental test site showed a decisive influence on the value of the VRA of temperature changes in the zone of penetration of the daily temperature wave. Based on the performed studies, the preference for using an effective method of delivering radon to the detector during monitoring observations in the upper part of the geological section is shown.
