Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the necessary math skills for secondary school students in the humanities branch in Palestine, which were acquired during the two years of Corona pandemic. to achieve this goal, the study followed the descriptive analytical approach. The study tools consisted of two monitoring lists of skills included in tenth, eleventh and twelfth grades math books, and a test of secondary school students’ math skills. The study community consisted of all high school students in the humanities branch in Rafah for the academic year 2021-2022, and their number is about (3000) male and female students.The sample study included (10%) of the community, which numbered (300) male and female secondary school students, including (130) male students, and (170) female students. The study reached several important results that are: The level of secondary school students acquiring the necessary math skills available in the math books of the tenth and eleventh grades is (46.25%), which is less than the average level. Also, there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of male and female students in the math skills test in favor of female students.
