Abstract

This study aims to foresee the future of library and information educationduring the next ten years, following the covid-19 pandemic and the spread ofdistance education environments; And the implications of that on the future oflibrary and information curriculum and teaching methods, as well as thechallenges that will face faculty members and students in the library andinformation departments; To achieve this, the method was relied on Delphi,where experts specializing in the field and others with educational technologyshared their expectations and opinions about the future of library and informationeducation, and this was done in two consecutive rounds. This study came outwith many results and recommendations that the researcher hopes will be ofbenefit and help in improving and developing library and information education.Through the results of the responses of the expert committee in Delphi toursfor the foresight of library and information science education, it was found that theapproval rate in the second round was high in all axes of the study of the future oflibrary and information science education. The most important statements thatreceived the highest evaluation according to the various axes and which affectthe future of library and information education were as follows:
