Abstract

By the example of phraseological units studying in classes of Russian as a foreign language the article considers the topical problem of sociocultural competence formation among foreign students at non-linguistic universities. The author distinguishes the stages of phraseological units studying, refers to semantization ways: the detailed interpretation of phraseological units, their comparative analysis, the selection of synonymous or antonymous idioms, the introduction of an idiom in a dialogue, visibility, etc. The connection of teaching idioms with interactive teaching methods is traced. To consolidate the material and activate phraseological units in speech, a system of exercises and speech tasks is proposed.
